What does PPE stand for in health and safety?

PPE stand for Personal Protective Equipment. These are items that are issued to an employee by the employer that an induvial will use during their duties to help protect them from harm.

Examples of PPE are things such as

  • Protective gloves

  • Facemasks and respirators

  • Protective goggles and over glasses

  • Steel toe-cap work shoes or boots
